This is also the advantage over, for example, used skis, bicycles or fitness equipment. In addition, we have sports equipment made from recycled materials in our range. Refurbed products have at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day trial period.

The Jones Frontier is one of those boards that can’t escape prizes, awards and accolades. But there is a good reason for that. The Frontier is an absolute all-rounder that can cope with any terrain. If you don’t feel like having several boards, but are looking for one with which you can have just as much fun in the park as in the pow and on the slopes, the Frontier is the snowboard for you.

Shape

The directional shape is the classic, most versatile snowboard shape. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. In deep snow the Blunt Nose makes sure less snow comes over the sides of your nose than it would with a regular shape. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 2.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.

Profile

The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the legs and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 1.0 comes with a balanced 2 mm upturn in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.

Flex

The medium flex combines response and playfulness.

Construction

The FCS™ Classic Core is Jones’ premium poplar solid wood core that scores with pop, flex and durability. The Biax fibreglass provides a forgiving, playful ride. Bio resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy, making production a little more environmentally friendly. The material of the sintered 8000 Base is made of UHMW-PE and carbon. It is fast, easy to repair and absorbs wax excellently. The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from castor seeds. This biomaterial is extremely light, resistant to scratches and breaks, and water and snow repellent. Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved sustainable production. The rubber for cushioning the edges and the ABS in the sidewalls is made from 100 % recycled material. All Jones boards are ‘ready to shred’ and are waxed at the factory with natural WEND wax, as well as slightly rounded at the tip and tail to be ready to go on the mountain directly from the shop. In order to achieve a higher material utilisation, Jones swaps the colours of the base, thereby reducing waste generated in production.

What does "refurbished" mean?
These are products that are either used or can no longer be sold as new. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. By giving these items a second life, we can both reduce waste and offer more affordable sports equipment.
How is “refurbished” classified?
We want to offer affordable and environmentally conscious sports equipment without compromising on quality. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. All our "refurbed" items are in perfect operating condition and are primarily graded based on visible signs of wear:
Excellent: Minor, not immediately visible optical defects.
Very good: Minor, visible optical defects.
Good: Visible optical defects.
What does "recycled" mean?
In line with our circular thinking, refurbed Sports offers not only refurbished products, but also new sports equipment made from recycled materials. This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.
How does refurbed guarantee the quality of the products?
Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.
What are my warranty conditions?
We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.
Which environmental protection projects do we invest in?
We have planted over 6.6 million trees since our foundin, and we are very proud! We realised that planting trees alone does not tackle all of the environmental issues we a passionate about, however. That's why we now also support projects that
- restore landscapes — ecosystems are repaired and jobs are created, including tree planting along the way
- remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently
- recycle electronic waste and reuse materials
