Still unsure?
In addition to refurbished sports equipment, we offer sports products made from recycled materials. These include, for example, bicycles with reused frames or sports accessories. We also have upcycling products in our range. This way, we save waste, resources and protect the environment. Refurbed products have at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day trial period.
This bike can be used universally for everyday use and travel. The module tires allow different profiles (also spikes). Threads for mudguards, luggage racks and bottle holders are available.
The high-quality electric drive is produced in Germany. With the battery capacity of 500Wh, the built-in tailwind support up to 25 km/h covers most applications, a later upgrade to 1,000 Wh is possible.
We are critical of the lithium-ion technology currently available on the market because the fight for rare raw materials in the mining areas is destroying nature, working conditions are not always optimal, social tensions are inevitable due to the foreseeable price increases, and recycling is not mature. Lithium-ion batteries don’t last long and are temperature-sensitive. We would like to see a technology that does not have these shortcomings and we hope that one of the current global research projects will soon experience a breakthrough, e.g. with salt-based batteries.
We think the path towards electromobility is the right one, which is why we still offer e-bikes. However, as soon as more compatible battery solutions become available, we will switch to these.
Rethink: We say goodbye to garbage and think in cycles. Nature is our role model.
Reuse: We save used frames and selected parts from the scrap press and upgrade them in upcycling processes. All elements are designed for high durability, repairability and refurbishment.
Remanufacturing: We would like to have all of the bicycles we put on the market back at some point, to disassemble, refurbish and produce again.
Recycling: There’s very little about our bikes that can’t be recycled. Essentially, these are plastics for which the recycling infrastructure is not yet available. The batteries are critical for e-bikes. We are in dialogue with our suppliers in this regard. We do not use petroleum-based carbon, which later becomes hazardous waste.
All of our bikes are individually built as needed, we don’t push large quantities of pre-produced goods onto the market. Each of our bikes has an electronic product passport to trace the history of the bike. This is stored on an NFC tag as an open system. In this way, we can gain experience in interaction with cyclists and bicycle workshops and prepare for future EU legislation on the circular economy.
Another tip: We build environmentally conscious UpCycling bikes and use partly tested used parts, which we value for further use. The appearance of these parts may differ from the parts shown in the pictures. The basic idea of the bike is of course retained and the specified specification applies, in which we also name the UpCycling parts as such.
