The Mind Expander expands your horizon. The playful board is looking for creative riders charging in the backcountry. If, like Jeremy, you’re looking for a fun splitboard that will take you to even the remotest corners of the mountains, the Mind Expander Split is your board. The board is great fun in any terrain and gives you a surf feeling you have never experienced before in snowboarding.
Riding Style The Mind Expander Split brings snowboard meets surf to a new level. The playful splitboard is fun on any terrain!
Shape The sidecut and flex, as well as the inserts of the Directional Shapeare moved to the back. In deep snow the blunt nose makes sure less snow comes over the sides of your nose than it would with a regular shape. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech 2.0improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
Profile Customtip/tail rocker profile designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson for the Mind Expander. The nose rocker starts just inside of the front inserts and the tail rocker starts just at the back inserts. When you weight the tail of the board the nose ramps up out of the snow for insane float on the deepest days. These subtle rocker contours match a Christenson surfboard rocker profile.
Construction The heart of the Mind Expander Split is the dual-density full premium wood FSC Control Split Core designed specifically for splitboards. 2:1 paulownia to poplar stringer ratio keeps core light yet ultra damp. Adual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fibreglasslaminate provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy Super Sap Bio-Resin instead of petroleum-based epoxy. New rounded, recycled sidewalls finish that improves board durability by protecting topsheet from chipping. All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability. The Bio-plastic topsheetis made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet). The Sintered 8000 Baseis made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. The base is easily repairable, highly wax absorbent and wicked fast.
Karakoram Clips The Mind Expander Split features Karakorams Ultra Clipsand Tip Locks. Ultra Clips are the strongest, lowest profile splitboard clips in the world. They deliver unmatched compression between board halves and they are adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.
Quick Tension Tail TheQuick Tension Tailis a built-in climbing skin tension system that uses a pre-cut notch which eliminates the need for a traditional skin tail clip.

This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.
Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.
If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.
We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.
